Derwent Safety Centre Ltd is a health and safety consultancy in Derby. Initially established in 1991 as DSC & Associates, the company specialises in the construction industry and its associated trades, including mechanical and electrical engineering services.
Whether you are an independent trade contractor, a contracts manager or a Director in a large company with multiple sites across the UK, Derwent Safety Centre will be able to provide you with practical health and safety advice and sensible solutions.

Robert’s personal goal is to provide sensible risk based advice and training fitting the Client’s needs. He is and has been a registered Consultant with the national Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR) since its inception.
The positions and memberships shown below have also provided him with incredible insight and outstanding knowledge of health and safety requirements and procedures:
- Past member of the FSB Health and Safety Policy Committee;
- Chartered member of IOSH and past Chairman of IOSH Consultancy Group;
- Member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society; and
- Current member and past Chairman of the Midlands Construction Safety Association.
Giving Back
Due to its commitment to improving the health and safety of personnel the company also believes in helping those whose lives have been injured whilst working in the Construction Industry.
Derwent Safety Centre is a keen supporter of the Nottingham Branch of the Lighthouse Club, the national construction industry charity, which raises funds through events to support people working in the industry and the dependents of people who have died following an accident.
